Rebecca Torres

Founder & Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Rebecca Torres is a trauma-informed therapist and the founder of Gulf Coast Counseling Center. With over twenty-five years of experience in youth ministry across Colorado, San Diego, New York City, and Florida, Rebecca’s work is deeply rooted in the belief that connection and community are essential for healing.

She works with children (10+), teens, and adults, specializing in PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm. Her approach integrates evidence-based methods like DBT and EMDR with faith and mindset tools, helping clients build resilience, self-awareness, and stronger relationships.

Katie Ocsody

Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

Katie is a holistic, EMDRIA-certified EMDR therapist who views mental health through the lens of the whole person—recognizing the deep connection between emotional, physical, and personal well-being. She creates a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, strengthen self-awareness, and process difficult emotions at their own pace.

Katie holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and brings over a decade of business leadership experience into her clinical work. She supports individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges, and has experience leading trauma-focused groups as well as working with individuals recovering from complex or single-incident trauma through EMDR.

In addition, Katie works with high-performing professionals and executives facing burnout, perfectionism, leadership stress, and identity shifts, integrating her business background with evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

Rev. Vanessa Fletcher

Pastoral Counselor

Rev. Vanessa Fletcher, MDiv, BCC is an ordained minister, pastoral counselor, and Board Certified healthcare chaplain with over a decade of experience serving individuals and families.

With specialized training in pastoral counseling, trauma-informed care, grief, compassion-centered care, premarital counseling, and mental health support, Vanessa takes a Christ-centered, strengths-based approach to helping individuals and families navigate grief, life transitions, illness, caregiver fatigue, relationships, and family challenges. Her goal is to help people recognize their strengths, build resilience, strengthen connection, and find hope through life’s difficult seasons.

She holds a Master of Divinity: Chaplaincy from Liberty University and has completed 1,600 hours of Clinical Pastoral Education, including her chaplaincy residency at Emory University Hospital.

Courtney Picow

Practice Manager

Courtney Picow serves as Gulf Coast Counseling Center's trusted practice manager. She ensures that every client receives attentive, compassionate care from their first inquiry to each session.

She is the first point of contact for client communication and coordination, helping make the therapy process smooth and welcoming. Courtney’s organization, empathy, and professionalism play a key role in creating a supportive experience for every client.

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Charlene is an EMDRIA-certified EMDR therapist and certified professional brain health coach trained in mindshift techniques that are designed to support meaningful healing and lasting personal growth.

Utilizing extensive training in trauma, abuse, mood disorders, personality assessments, and more, she helps clients uncover their strengths, heal from past hurts, and move toward a free and fulfilling life. Charlene offers in-person sessions in Clearwater, and telehealth services for Florida residents.

Tammara Dickerson

Behavioral Specialist (Referral Partner)

Tammara Dickerson is a behavioral specialist with extensive training in the Neurosequential Model in Education and expertise in Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA).

She provides personalized behavioral support to families, helping improve communication, strengthen relationships, and promote emotional regulation in home and educational settings. Tammara’s approach reflects her deep commitment to family wellness and relational connection, aligning closely with the mission of Gulf Coast Counseling Center.
